Action for a Livable Tomorrow works for environmental justice in northwest Louisiana by reducing toxic pollution, protecting children’s health, and creating better solutions to environmental challenges. Its campaign to protect air and ground-water pollution related to the cleanup of a Superfund site has led to working with national partners to end the open burning and detonation of hazardous waste by the Department of Defense and others. The project is also working to prevent childhood lead exposure in northwest Louisiana.
