In 2009 the eco-thriller action adventure documentary,

‘The Cove,’ by director Louis Psihoyos was released and is nominated for a Feature Documentary Oscar®.

This amazing film features the former trainer of TV’s ’Flipper, the dolphin,’ turned activist, Ric O’Barry and documents his tireless campaign of to end the annual Taiji, Japan mass slaughter and capture of dolphins for the aquarium & entertainment industry.

‘The Cove’ has won over 25 prestigious awards, including the 2009 Sundance Audience Award, the Critic’s Choice Award for best documentary and it’s the first nonfiction feature to sweep all four of the Guild prizes awarded for documentaries - the Producers, Directors, Writers & Editors.

‘The Cove’ has helped shine a spotlight on Ric’s work with Earth Island Institute’s International Marine Mammal Project and our efforts to Save Japan Dolphins.
