A Little Light Summer Reading?

Earth Island Institute founder David Brower once said, “Have fun saving the world, or you are just going to depress yourself.” If you’re currently needing a laugh, pick up a copy of Mom, Will This Chicken Give Me Man Boobs? Author Robyn Harding chronicles her life as a wannabe environmentalist and the difficulty she experiences as she determines the best way to take her family down a greener path. No, her choices aren’t always fully committed, and occasionally she makes a wrong turn along the way, but she always tries earnestly. If you’re a dyed-in-the-wool environmentalist, perhaps this book will help you better understand what the average person faces when trying to do the right thing for our planet. And if you’re a wannabe yourself, you’ve probably faced many of the same decisions that Harding so wittily relates, and will find yourself laughing at your shared experiences.
