Sustainable World Coalition this year published the Sustainable World SourceBook, a 100-page guide that provides a sweeping overview of the major issues facing the planet, realistic solutions, and actions that can make a meaningful contribution. Featuring a user-friendly layout and an introduction by Paul Hawken, the book was created by a team of 15 researchers and eight editors who condensed thousands of pages of authoritative documents to get readers up to speed quickly.

In addition to endorsements by luminaries such as Randy Hayes, Marianne Williamson, Kevin Danaher, and Lynne Twist, the SourceBook has consistently received stellar reviews, including a spot on Care2’s list of Top 10 books for the summer.

With its accompanying workbook, the SourceBook is perfect for both community groups and college courses. According to San Francisco State University professor Kenn Burrows, the book is “an excellent guide for educators seeking to engage their students in helping to reinvent this troubled world.”

The SourceBook retails for $11.95 on Amazon and in most larger bookstores. Quantity discounts are available via the Sustainable World Coalition: 415-785-1888 and www.swcoalition.org. n
