True Colors Mural Project:Visions of Peace and Justice

 Oxford Strip:

photo of people working planting on a median stripDestined to be paved over with concrete, the City of Berkeley approached Streets Alive! to plant and adopt the median on Oxford way between Kittridge and Allston. Thanks to a small army of volunteers at Oxford Plaza Apartments and Cal Berkeley, the Oxford Strip now thrives with blooming succulents and native coastal scrub. Adeline and Alcatraz:

Cal students hard at workIn 2012, we teamed up with The Berkeley Project in an effort to revegitate and revitalize a section on Adeline and Alcatraz. Cal Berkeley students contributed enthusiastically to this piece of public landscape by transforming the plot of land into a green heaven. Visit here for more photos of the amazing day!
