This grant paid for the removal of invasive, non-native plants along the lower reach of Cottonwood Creek and re-established native species. In 1996, the Conservancy approved the Cottonwood Creek Enhancement Plan and authorized a $5,600 nonprofit grant for the first phase of the enhancement project. The WRP Small Grant funding was used to complete the enhancement activities. This restoration was highly successful and the area is thriving with wildlife!
