Kids vs. Global Warming is a youth-led organization, dedicated to EDUCATING students about the science of climate change and EMPOWERING them to take action. We educate through youth-created and delivered, inspirational presentations to schools, conferences and events as well as videos, interactive booths, websites and educational resources. We EMPOWER by initiating GWAT Teams (Global Warming Action Teams) and providing resources and tools so that kids can be trained to give presentations in their own communities, green their schools, and initiate activist projects. We also initiate local activist/art/educational projects such as SLAP, the Sea Level Awareness Project, in Ventura CA, warning of the risks of sea level rise if we do nothing now about global warming. Our message is: "Kids voices matter in the fight to end global warming within their lifetimes."
