Information for Organizations With Display Tables

Display Table Set-Up
Set-Up of Organizational/Agency displays begins on Friday, 11:30 and ends at 2:30. If this is not possible for you, contact saveorcawhales@attbi.com to make sure we save your space.

Note: Please begin removing your displays at Sunday noon and be completely loaded and materials out of Kane Hall by 2:00. That way you can enjoy the catered informal discussionfrom 2:00 to 5:00.

  1. Using the Map of the Kane Hall area, go eastward on NE 45th Street past the Burke Museum and then turn right onto Memorial Drive where there is a gate and parking lot. You will likely meet a fee collector. Feel free to ask directions here, but you will proceed forward down Memorial Dr. (Note: these are pedestrian walkways; please drive slowly and carefully) and veer left down Spokane Lane to the rear of Kane Hall. We will try to have the freight elevator available, but cannot guarantee it. You can also drive around the side of Kane, and unload into the lobby where there is an elevator that will take you to the second level atrium.
  2. The table spaces are free of charge, most being six feet in length. All are draped on top and to the floor in royal blue cloth. You can store your extra materials under the table, but do not leave anything valuable there. There are some outlets, but we are not set up for any special electrical or computer needs.
  3. Though the building is locked at night, there may be other functions running late giving others access to your displays and materials. NEITHER THE HOSTS OF THIS CONFERENCE NOR THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS, THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OF YOUR PROPERTY. Please act accordingly, and do not leave valuables, especially overnight. 4) Please make sure your literature is always well stocked. We cannot accurately estimate the attendance. On Saturday morning there will be a large number of students in the building taking aptitude tests. They may be interested in your literature. Plan for 200 to 500 pieces of literature being used.
  4. We will assign spaces based on the limited area we have to work with. There will be about 28 total display spaces.
  5. There is no where/way to hang banners or signs except from the front of the tables.
  6. Please be sure to check this website often, more so as the conference date nears. If you have problems, please email saveorcawhales@attbi.com. On the day of the conference, email will NOT be monitored.
We thank you for contributing to the success of the conference and to the recovery of the southern resident orca whales.
