Take Action

• Don't buy any tuna unless it is approved dolphin-safe by Earth Island Institute.

• Don't buy Norwegian products, such as fish and cheese, until Norway stops whaling.

• Urge local supermarkets and restaurants to sell only EII approved, dolphin-safe tuna and not to sell Norwegian products.

• Ensure that your school cafeteria or workplace serves only EII approved, dolphin-safe tuna.

• Sponsor a dolphin species and help protect it in the wild.

Inform the Public

• Create school units that focus on dolphins, whales, and the marine ecosystem. Write to us if you would like the Life in the Sea Discovery Kit. Please include $3.00 for shipping.

• Set up "dolphin and whale" booths at supermarkets, fairs, and other events. Distribute our literature and inform people about the dolphin and whale slaughter.

• Host a video party for your family and friends. Show the dramatic video Where Have All the Dolphins Gone? and hand out IMMP's literature.
• Start an environmental club at your school. Organize local citizen action groups. Get involved!

Voice Your Opinion

• Encourage local newspapers, radio, and TV stations to cover the tuna/dolphin and whaling issues.

• Write articles for your school newspapers or business publications to educate others about the tuna/dolphin and whaling issues.

• Send letters to your senators and representatives encouraging them to take a strong position against commercial whaling.

• Write letters to the editor of your local newspapers and express your concern for marine mammals.

• Encourage your senators and representatives to uphold the IDCA. Tell them not to let it be repealed or amended in a way that would weaken its provisions.
