Organizational Background

KIDS for the BAY (KftB) collaborates with teachers to inspire environmental consciousness in children and cultivate a love of learning. We are committed to multicultural environmental education and to restoring a healthy environment for all communities. Our programs empower elementary school students to take action to help solve environmental problems in their neighborhoods. We also provide much-needed professional development in environmental science to classroom teachers through our unique Teacher Training Model and School Wide Impact Approach. KftB works in primarily low-income, urban schools throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Compensation

The salary range is $34,000 – $38,000 per year. This is a full-time, permanent position starting September 3, 2013. Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision) and generous paid vacation are provided.
