Take Action

Yosemite National Park

David's favorite place in the world, which he visited every year from 1918 until his death, is one of the Wonders of the World; and he fought to keep it free of development and to "minimize the impact of visitors on the scenery, and maximize the impact of the scenery on visitors." David gave his last public speech in Yosemite, speaking on the need to reform the National Park Service, restore Hetch Hetchy Valley, and revive railroads in CA and Yosemite before it's too late.

"Yosemite should be a nature center, not a profit center."
-- David R. Brower
